Update - What's new
In the past month, I got a lot of feedback, ideas and critique from players and streamers. Spent the last weeks to implement some of it. More is coming in the next weeks.
New Cards: Basement And Froggy
Basements spawn randomly when players search houses. Basements are always infested by giant rats. Clearing them promises some good tools and food items. Players will also find some preview Cards down there - allowing a glimps on advanced tools and weapons coming with one of the next releases.
Next to the cute little ducky (still dead) now players can also find cute little froggy (dead as well) near water sources. Both can be cut for their meat and bones. Planning a minigame that will allow skilled players to catch both animals alive.
Other New Stuff
- Pumps and wells now can also be searched. Players can find some common items around them.
- Keyboard shortcuts for all main actions (actions like opening/closing inventory)
- Reworked the Almanac quite a lot. When right-clicking an item, it now shows up above that item. Players can reposition it to any place they want. A tutorial card is introducing the almanac to new players.
- All cooking ingredients and recipes can now be found and looked up in the almanac
- In battles, players now can see the stats of each card. Makes it easier for new players to decide if to use it or to keep it.
- Also in battles, the drawpile now is better reflecting the amount of cards (it is growing and shrinking). Furthermore, the visible stack is limited to a certain amount of cards to avoid visual glitches (this is just a visual improvement, the actual amount of cards is still taken into account)
Fixed Issues
- Weapons found on human corpses now equip properly. When players already carry the weapon found, a card spawns that can be equiped any time later.
- Action buttons are disabled when energy is too low.
- Images preload properly now (there were issues with relative paths and their different behaviour between local and published game version)
- A ton of smaller bugfixes (and still so many left...)

Keyboard Shortcuts, Yes!
I adore froggy! Awesome update! Having the drawpile shrink is a very helpful addition. :)
