This update brings a character selection into the game.
Players can now choose from a variety of different characters - each of them with distinctive and relatable personalities.
With each character there comes a set of abilities and incapacities, as well as a starting equipment - fitting their personality, profession and preferences.
Some of these characters rely on upcoming features and for now only exist as previews until the corresponding features made it into the game.
Besides the character selection, there are some bugfixes and minor improvements included in this update as well.
- The option screens at the beginning of the game now adapt to the screen resolution
- The option screen UI elements and interactions got some visual improvements
- A new in-game fullscreen toggle button was added
- The nerfs and buffs of certain character and item stats are shown in tooltips and in the Almanach

You have 9 days to reach a ship that will save you from the hell the world has turned into.

It's really cool seeing some of me suggestions coming to fruition, I really look forward to seeing the game develop more and more. U.I looks really good too.
Watching your stream and hearing your comments was really helpful and inspiring. Characters are a big step forward - and they will go well together with the new weapon features and animal companions. This mix will adress some more suggestions of yours, like having always a weapon at hand (the dog companion will do that). For the lore part I still need some more time and ideas, but repairing weapons is also in sight and will be part of the concept for showing weapons.
