A downloadable asset pack


I haven't had the time to finish my game idea based on the story "The Unparalleled Adventure of One Hans Pfaall" written by Edgar Allan Poe. However, I created some Game Art on the way, which I am presenting here instead of the fully developed game.

The following interface concept is showing a snapshot of the actual game how I was planning it. On the left side some (missing) indicators would have shown important data like it can be found in Poes story - altitude, atmospheric pressure and temperature. Depending on the height of the balloon, these parameters would have influenced Hans' condition and the treatments required to recover his health.

The wind conditions were planned to influence the balloons flight and stability.

As in the story, the goal of the game would have been to bring Hans healthy all the way to the moon. The progress towards that goal is indicated by the little red dot between the Earth and Moon. On the way some key events would have been triggered like they also can be found in the original story.
